My Boxing Day 2021: 26 December 2021

Boxing Day in New Zealand was a warm, beautiful day. We spent most of it inside so we could chat with my family in Chicago on their Christmas.

We got to speak with one of my brothers, sisters-in-law, and their kids, which was nice.

Unfortunately, my parents weren’t able to chat because they were tired. I’m not sure how long my other brother and his family were visiting them for and if that had some impact on the timeframe, but I guess we’ll find out in due course.

All I know is that this is the first Christmas in my life that I’ve not spoken to or been with my parents.

Noel and I went for a long walk instead, which was nice. Especially on such a lovely summer day.

And, thanks to Garth’s help and advice, I bought a new laptop. Mine is nearly 9 years old, and I spent 4 hours today trying to get it to recognize my iCloud account. I saved $1,100NZ off the sticker price due to a Boxing Day sale, so I can’t complain.

Most importantly, I got to wish a ton of friends and family Merry Christmas on social media today and chat with my brother Jeremy and sister-in-law Annie. Great highlights of today.

I hope you had a wonderful day. 😁
